Protecting employees & clients

Safety Policy

It protects our employees, clients, public, property and the environment. Accidents can affect people,
downgrade property and result in the loss of production. For these reasons, it is the policy of this company to expect all managers, supervisors, employees and contractors to comply with the government regulations and follow company/industry policies, standards, practices, procedures and safety rules.

In addition, safety not only protects lives but contributes to employee morale and pride through employees participating in identifying safety needs and developing safe work procedures. The far-reaching effects of this create an environment that allows the company to be a premier service company within the industry.

Employees, contractors, and visitors who knowingly violate legislative and safety controls may face disciplinary action, dismissal or legal action. In addition, the company may also be subject to legal action and fines. Those individuals who do not fulfill their safety responsibilities will become accountable for any problems their negligence creates and may be liable under the law.

Safety Responsibility

The responsibility for safety is a shared responsibility. Management will provide the resources and necessary training to ensure supervisors and workers are competent for the work they are to perform. Supervisors will assist management by identifying and communicating safety hazards, investigating and following up on incidents and accidents.

They will also ensure training is current and meets the requirements of the task being performed.

It is also the supervisors’ responsibility to ensure that the appropriate safety and personal protective equipment is supplied, maintained and is being worn by the workers. Their role will be supported by all company and contract employees.

Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

All company employees and others on company worksites are responsible for obeying and following all rules, work procedures/ practices, wearing and using personal protective equipment and informing supervisors of unsafe work conditions.

When required they will participate in company training programs and safety meetings. Everyone has the right and responsibility to refuse to do work when unsafe conditions exist.

By fulfilling our safety responsibilities, everyone who works for our company will share the benefits of a safe workplace.
